Tim Carey
Tim Carey is a principal of The Carey Group. Following a variety of positions within local and national real estate and finance-related companies over the past 20 years, Tim joined forces with his brother Kevin in order to focus on acquisition, development, leasing and investment sale-brokerage opportunities.
Tim's acquisition and disposition experience, knowledge of the real estate capital markets, and hands-on approach combine to provide attentive, value-added real estate solutions.
Tim's 20-year career within the real estate and finance arena has encompassed a broad range of disciplines that have culminated in his role as principal of The Carey Group. He spent 15 years with Heller Real Estate and Cohen Financial underwriting and structuring debt and equity for commercial real estate projects with institutional capital providers, as well as facilitating the sale of over $300 million of investment properties both locally and nationally.
In 2003, Tim became the president of Greenway Properties, Inc., a private real estate investment and development company with a portfolio of approximately 1 million square feet. In this capacity, Tim was responsible for portfolio and asset management, leasing and development. Following significant gains in occupancy and value creation within the portfolio, Tim orchestrated a $145 million sale of the company's ten properties.
Tim graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Madison in 1988 with majors in Finance and Real Estate Investment Analysis.
Kevin Carey
Kevin Carey is a principal of The Carey Group Real Estate Services LLC. A Madison native, Kevin has strong family and business ties to the community.
Kevin's market knowledge, dedication to client service, and entrepreneurial spirit make him your first choice for commercial real estate solutions.
Over the 15 years Kevin has spent in commercial real estate, he has represented numerous national and local business tenants, including Allstate, National Specialty Insurance, The Madison Children's Museum and The Wisconsin Auto and Truck Dealers Association
In addition to completing over $20 million in leasing assignments, Kevin has assisted local area businesses in the acquisition and development of office, retail and industrial properties.
Kevin graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1987 with a degree in economics. He is currently an active member in the local brokerage community and has worked closely with a number of local "not for profit" organizations in their search for office space.
